Communications
Chaired by Nick Hoffman, Engage Public Affairs. Develop and implement outreach and communication for ACEC Ohio including the Engineering Excellence Awards Program and review of all Council publications.
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
To ensure ACEC Ohio is recognized as a welcoming organization where all members are included, involved, and can achieve their full potential.
Environment & Energy
Chair position is OPEN. Represents the interests of ACEC Ohio member companies that provide water resources, environmental engineering, and energy sector work; maintains liaison committees with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and other regulatory authorities.
Government Affairs
Chaired by Dave Krock, OHM Advisors. Provides direction for the Council’s Government Affairs activities; monitors legislation introduced in the Ohio General Assembly and rules and policies promulgated by state administrative agencies.
Member Services
Chaired by Jake Stremmel, HDR. Responsible for assuring that the programs and services offered by ACEC Ohio are of significant value to the organization’s member companies, coordinates membership retention and recruitment programs.
Political Action
Chaired by Dave Krock, OHM Advisors. Members are selected by the Board Chair, manages the ACEC Ohio Political Action Fund.
Scholarship
Chaired by Joe Bolzenius, Mannik & Smith Group. Review existing programs within chapters and make recommendations on moving forward with an ACEC Ohio scholarship program that will complement the ACEC National Scholarship program.
Small Firms
Chaired by Joy Lanham, Lanham Engineering Develops programs and services to help the owners of small firms by addressing their unique situations; provides a networking forum for owners of small engineering companies.
Transportation
Chaired by Shane Campbell, Gannett Fleming. Represents the interests of ACEC Ohio member firms engaged in transportation engineering; maintains liaison with the Ohio Department of Transportation, Ohio Turnpike Commission, and other transportation-related agencies.
Vertical Development
Chaired by Mike Mazzoli, Intertek PSI. To represent ACEC Ohio member firms to entities that procure professional engineering services for projects in the vertical construction market to achieve fairer procurement policies, contractual terms, as well as improved standards and funding. Maintains liaison with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission and works with AIA and AGC on issues.
Workforce Development
Chaired by Brendan Lieske, SME. Facilitate connections between ACEC Ohio and higher education to develop an open line of communication on curriculum needs, talent pipeline, student experiences, and legislative support. Foster and support the development of future professionals in Ohio’s built environment.
