Dr. Gina Boerger
Dr. Boerger has been a physical therapist for 24 years and has held a variety of clinical and leadership positions throughout her career. She is currently a home health physical therapist and Director of Clinical Excellence at Therapy Advantage. Dr. Boerger holds a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. She also has specialty certifications in Clinical Education as well as the treatment of people with Parkinson’s Disease. Dr. Boerger has participated in clinical research regarding the effectiveness of physical therapy interventions for people with Parkinson’s and has been published. A strong advocate for patients’ access to Parkinson’s-specialized care and resources, she helped co-found Partners in Parkinson’s, a nonprofit resource group for people with Parkinson’s Disease in western Ohio. Dr. Boerger is a passionate and established speaker. She has developed both informational presentations and continuing education courses. Topics have included Parkinson’s Disease, Diagnosis-specific Therapy, OASIS scoring, Value-Based Purchasing, and Outcomes Management to audiences including the Ohio Council for Home Care & Hospice, University of Cincinnati Sunflower Symposium for Parkinson’s, and multiple physician groups and community groups. She also testified for the Ohio State Senate and House as an active advocate in the OCHCH campaign that resulted in Ohio’s Medicaid reimbursement rate increase for FY2022 & 2023.
