Schedule:

8:00 AM - 11:20 AM Morning Session:

PDI’s Jennifer Bender, MPH, BSN, RN, CIC, will present three hours of Infection Prevention education, starting at the beginning with a Guidebook to the First Year of IP; covering what every center’s comprehensive Infection Prevention program should entail. After a quick break, attendees will settle back in to “Master the Minutia” of disinfectants, including a review of EPA testing methodologies and kill claims, product labels vs master labels, and surface compatibility and IFUs, and how they vary; which is extremely applicable to the OR environment! After another break Jennifer will wrap-up the morning with a discussion on nasal decolonization in Ambulatory Care.

12:10 PM - 3:20 PM Afternoon Session:
Ongoing infection control training is a regulatory requirement for every surgery center. Local conference favorite, Elethia Dean, will be back covering current issues and trends in infection control as well as actions that can be instituted in future surveys to prevent deficiencies. This course is a must for every ambulatory surgery center – all staff in the ASC should attend this very informative session.
