HARDI Testifies at EPA Hearing on Two Proposed HCFC Phaseout Rules
On January 7, 2009, HARDI's HCFC Rulemaking Task Force attended two hearings hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to deliver oral statements on two recently proposed federal rulemakings for the next stages in the phaseout of HCFC substances. Here is HARDI's statement on the EPA's proposal to ban the sale and distribution of pre-charged HCFC appliances and components. Here is HARDI's statement on the EPA's second proposal to establish HCFC allocations from 2010-2014 which also includes a proposed interpretation of what equipment can and cannot be serviced with new R-22 or any other HCFC refrigerant.
